Kevin Feige made an appearance at the Loki Season 2 launch event in Hollywood where fans got to see the first two episodes.
The Marvel head addressed the audience in attendance and mentioned the actors’ absence as the SAG-AFTRA strike continued.
“Obviously our cast is not here tonight,” Feige said. “But let me tell you something, they all worked so hard, they loved it so much. Our star Tom Hiddleston is not just our star and our Loki for the past 12 years, he’s one of our executive producers and he’s incredible and this show wouldn’t happen without him.”
Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
The cast of Loki also includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
Loki Season 2 is set to premiere on October 5 on Disney+ with subsequent episodes dropping every Thursday thereafter.
