The origins of one of India’s best-known gastropubs go back to Indira Nagar, Bengaluru. Fatty Bao is the perfect mash up between a versatile Asian restaurant and a lounge bar. Asian cocktails, small plates – the baos are a house favourite, ramens and curries come to the fore in an extensive menu. The menu is dominated by Pan Asian signatures; there’s room for exquisite sashimi and sushi platters and curries from across South East Asia.
5. Smokehouse Deli:
One of the best all-day options in the CBD. Perfect for an impromptu catch up with a long lost buddy or a work meeting. The interiors stay consistent with the Smokehouse template across India. The menu is exhaustive. Most regulars come back for their all-day breakfast and their fail-proof burgers (we’re partial to their smoked chicken and oregano burger). The dessert menu is the perfect fix for your round the clock sweet cravings.

6. The Rice Bowl:
An old Bangalore institution of sorts. This is where many regulars come back for old school Chinese food where you don’t need to wade through a menu when you place your order. The interiors are a throwback to uncomplicated dining experiences and family meals with time-tested favourites like sweet corn soup, drunken chicken wings and crispy chilli potatoes. 7. Cantan:
We like the high-energy, cheerful vibe at Cantan. It’s positioned as a Chinese bar house and a restaurant that puts the spotlight on regional Chinese specialties. Located at The Chancery Hotel, this is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in the CBD.
